USGS-landslides.20060221T151719 pgori@usgs.gov 20060221T151719.000Z System Alert Public en-US Geo Expected Severe Likely Susan Cannon Flash Flood and Debris Flow Watch for Recently Burned Areas in southern California Between 4:05 am on Saturday, February 18 and 3:41 am on Sunday, February 19, the National Weather Service issued Watches for flash flood and debris-flow activity for the recently burned areas in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. Watches were issued for the School Canyon, Topanga, Harvard and Tovey burned areas. The Watches are based on a comparison of forecast and measured precipitation with rainfall thresholds provided by the USGS. The final Watch was cancelled at 9:05 am, Sunday, February 19.
