USGS-landslides.20081126T162948 jegartner@usgs.gov 20081126T162948.000Z Actual Alert Public en-US Geo Flash Flood Warning for Los Angeles County Immediate Extreme Very Likely Joseph Gartner Flash Flood Warning for San Bernardino, Orange, and Riverside Counties At 3:28 AM, Nov. 26, 2008, the National Weather Service in San Diego, CA, issued a Flash Flood Warning for the area burned by the Freeway Complex in southwestern San Bernardino, north-central Orange, and northwestern Riverside Counties in Southern California. Areas prone to debris flow include the cities of Yorba Linda, San Antonio, Brea, Olinda Village, and portions of Anaheim (Cascade Apartments). Carbon Canyon, Brush Canyon, Box Canyon are also prone to debris flow and mandatory evacuations have occurred in some of these canyons in the Yorba Linda area. A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warning area, move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
