The "Older Funding Tables Archives" are broken into three six-year groupings: FY 2001 – 1996; FY 1995 – 1990; and FY 1989 – 1984. With each year, two tables (Mini-Congressional Action and Single Year History) provide more detailed information concerning the particular budget actions that took place. The Mini-Congressional Action table displays proposed budget changes at the budget activity level of detail and the Congressional action (House, Senate, and Conference) on the proposed changes, as well as Congressional earmarks and reductions. The Single Year History table portrays the entire USGS budget structure proposed in the budget, as well as the enacted to final funding levels. As a result, it is possible in most cases to translate changes at the budget activity level in the Mini-Congressional Action table to the full budget structure level of detail in the Single Year History table.
The Mini-Congressional Action table explains the origin point for programmatic funding changes in the initial enacted funding level for USGS. The Single Year History table uncovers all remaining budget actions that affect the USGS appropriated funding level from initial enacted funding to final/actual funding (for example, supplemental appropriations, transfers in and or out, later Across-the-Board reductions, rescissions).
