Overview

• One Day Computer Laboratory Workshops
  This workshop provides the opportunity to create original metadata through computer-based exercises using your own data set and prepare files for the Clearinghouse. This course covers each element of the standard and provides data discovery exercises on the clearinghouse. Audience: Metadata creators. Format: Powerpoint presentations and desktop/laptop computers.
• Half Day Workshops
  This workshop gives a brief overview of the FGDC standard and the Clearinghouse. Due to time constrains, computer-based exercises are not included. Audience: General audience. A detailed workshop is recommended for metadata creators. Format: Powerpoint presentations augmented by exercises.
• Conference Demonstrations
  Exhibit booths are utilized as venues to attract and engage conference participants in metadata isses.
