Landsat General FAQs - 11 Found
Small satellites can supplement but not substitute for Landsat missions. A Landsat satellite has a 16-day repeat cycle. Two Landsat satellites such as Landsats 5 and 7 can provide fresh imagery over the same site on the Earth’s surface every 8 days. Many agricultural applications require new imagery every 4 or 5 days, especially during the growing season. Small satellites can serve to address those applications requiring more frequent repeat cycles.
