Forest Visitor Maps are at a smaller scale than USGS topographic quadrangle maps and typically do not show contours. Forest Visitor maps contain general recreational information about things such as camping, fishing, biking, other activities, points of interest, area travel restrictions, visitor safety tips, local plant and wildlife, visitors centers and ranger stations. Forest Service Wilderness and other special area maps portray information specific to special themes of recreation. Depending on the theme they may include contours.
