Draft Project Plan

This project plan describes the approach and first-year results of the Great Basin Integrated Landscape Monitoring Pilot (GBILM), an interdisciplinary effort to address landscape-level monitoring issues in the Great Basin. It is one of four pilots that was selected to implement a USGS science thrust on Integrated Landscape Monitoring. The GBILM pilot is focused on reconciling local, site-specific actions and natural events with landscape-scale processes and functions in an effort to provide a monitoring capability at the landscape scale.

Spatial Considerations for Managing Sagebrush Ecosystems (36-min video/slides)

A 36-min seminar given by Rick Miller titled Spatial Considerations for Managing Sagebrush Ecosystems: Heterogeneity and Scale. The seminar was given as part of the monthly Spotlight on Science seminar series, which offers presentations about current scientific research and its applications to natural resource management. It is a collaborative program among BLM, USGS, and US Fish and Wildlife Service.
