At the conclusion of this course, you should be able to: Apply the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements when responding, at the awareness level, to a hazardous materials release; Identify the spill responder categories and their limitations; Identify Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) levels for personal protective equipment; Recognize safety issues at hazardous materials spill sites; Identify the basic principles of incident command; Identify the basic principles of decontamination; and Determine if your agency's emergency response plan has the required program elements.
