Description: The workshop will focus on geophysical methods for the study of permafrost. Methods will include GPR, frequency-domain EM, time-domain EM, resistivity, and passive seismic. Participants will be introduced to principles, field techniques, and methods for data analysis through lectures, field demonstrations, and hands-on exercises.
Target Audience:
This workshop is designed for hydrologists and engineers interested in geophysical methods for characterization of permafrost. It is open to USGS, other Federal agency, State, and University personnel.
