Subject: Recipients of the 2012 U.S. Geological Survey Excellence in Leadership Award
I am pleased to announce the recipients of the 2012 USGS Excellence in Leadership Award:
- Vessel Team
Captains Tim Cherry and Terry Lewchanin, Midwest Area, and
Pamela Dei, Administration and Enterprise Information, for their exemplary leadership and oversight of the building of two research vessels under compressed timelines and challenging circumstances; and - Jennifer Dansie, Rocky Mountain Area, for her ability to lead her colleagues through a process to create a new course for Hydrologic Technicians.
This award recognizes outstanding acts, services, or achievements that exemplify and support the USGS goal of developing a leadership-centered culture throughout the USGS.
Tim, Terry, Pamela, and Jennifer are model leaders who, through their technical expertise and interpersonal skills, advance the science and lead their colleagues to excellence both personally and professionally.
