The Office of Science Quality and Integrity's Youth and Education in Science (YES) Office, in collaboration with the Office of Organizational and Employee Development, have developed an Intern mentoring community, providing an opportunity for USGS interns to learn about the history and structure of the USGS - where we’ve been; and current science directions - where we are going. This forum will introduce informational sessions, opportunities to ask questions, tools to help you navigate the government workplace, and provide information on how you can take part in the USGS formal Mentoring Program. We will be looking to you to help shape this group and the presentations delivered.
We have developed a Virtual Community of Practice (VCoP) site for you. This is your site, so please explore, blog, upload articles of interest, and access information like the Intern Mentoring Exchange schedule. If you are unable to attend, or you would like to have the presentation for reference, you can download the presentations from the VCoP link.
