Key FSA Facts:
- 2012 Limit– $5,000 maximum per account
- Current benefits period – January 1, 2012 to March 15, 2013
- Must re-enroll each year – coverage does not automatically carry over
- No paper form to complete – enroll directly with FSAFEDS
- Once enrolled, can stop or change only with Qualifying life event during Benefit period
- Carefully calculate how much to contribute
- You can lose money if you don't submit claims timely – use or lose rule
- Open Season is an annual event that allows changes to FSA
