Open Season is held annually from mid-November to mid-December. During Open Season you can enroll, change, or cancel your enrollment for the following benefits.
- Health Insurance (FEHB)
- Dental & Vision Supplemental coverage (FEDVIP)
- Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA)

Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP)
The most recent Open Season for FLTCIP closed on June 24, 2011. If you're in an eligible group, you can apply at any time using the full underwriting application.

There isn't an open season period for the Thrift Savings Plan. You may start, stop, or change your TSP contributions at any time using Employee Express.

Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) Program
The FEGLI Program does not have regular recurring open seasons. The last one was held in 2004; they occur very infrequently.
Increases or decreases in coverage - You can enroll or increase your coverage outside of an open season if you have a qualifying life event or you are approved after submitting medical information. You may decrease or waive coverage at any time by completing an SF-2817 and forwarding it to your Benefits Specialist.
