USGS Study Confirms U.S. Amphibian Populations Declining at Precipitous Rates
|
MENLO PARK, Calif. – Members of the news media are invited to attend the U.S. Geological Survey Open House in Menlo Park this weekend. This event includes over 80 exhibits that highlight the work USGS scientists do. Join them in action as they share the excitement of their scientific work and discoveries with the general public. Since 1984, the USGS has opened its doors to the public every three years, so that they could get a better understanding of what we do as a federal government science agency. Reporters can dress like a scientist, analyze the chemical composition of small objects, measure stream flow, pan for gold, learn about local rocks, and make your own earthquake.
