- National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Stewardship Conference -- April 24-26
- The U.S. Geological Survey is sponsoring a conference April 24-26 to outline a strategy for the stewardship of hydrography data for The National Map. This mapping coverage utilizing the National Hydrography Dataset is nearly complete for the Nation at 1:24,000-scale. Now an initiative is underway to continuously maintain these data through a partnership between the USGS and a consortium of federal and state agencies. The conference will be held in Denver, Colorado with over 130 representatives attending form 41 states and six federal agencies.
