OARS Security Alert - Protecting Your Information

Please be aware that over the past month, malicious software was used to gain unauthorized access to the Monster.com resume database to obtain the contact information of job seekers. Monster Government Solutions is the technology provider for the OARS website and has assured the U.S. Geological Survey that our database was NOT compromised because of the IT Security Shields OARS has in place.

However, we are asking for you to remain alert for counterfeit "phishing" emails that may appear to come from Monster.com asking you to click on a link. "Phishing" is another way scam operators obtain your personal information. OARS will NEVER request personal information via unsolicited email (i.e. not a response to an email sent by you), or request for you to download any software, tool, or access agreement.
