3D Hydrography Program Working Group

The 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP) Working Group is a forum for Federal agencies with direct involvement in 3DHP to provide input and collaborate on the direction, development, priorities, management, technologies, use, and resources of the program.

The 3D Hydrography Program Working Group consists of the following member agencies:

  • Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
  • Bureau of Reclamation (BOR)
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
  • National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
  • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) / National Weather Service (NWS)
  • National Park Service (NPS)
  • Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)
  • National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC)
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
  • U.S. Census Bureau
  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS)
  • U.S. Forest Service (USFS)
  • U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)

Member agencies provide a primary and alternate representative, with the alternate acting for the primary as needed. The USGS is the lead agency for development and management of the 3DHP. The USGS chairs the 3DHP Working Group and also provides advisors to assist with programmatic and technical guidance on development and management.

The 3DHP Technical Working Group (TWG) falls under the 3DHP Working Group and provides information and recommendations related to 3DHP datasets and technologies. It consists of members of the 3DHP Working Group and others from the member agencies with an interest or stake in the details of data and tool development.
