Federal Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) for Students with Disabilities

This is an employment program with a goal of placing high-quality disabled college students and graduates in summer, temporary or permanent positions.

The Department of Labor (DOL) and Department of Defense (DOD) coordinate this program on behalf of the President's Committee on Employment of Persons with Disabilities. DOD screens candidates and provides listings of available students in early spring for selection and also pays for all necessary accommodations such as special computer equipment or readers. USGS hires the individuals through this program under the persons with disabilities authorities (Schedule A). For additional information about Schedule A appointments for the disable visit: Schedule A Authority Web page.

For more information about the Workforce Recruitment (WRP) Program and employers access to database of candidates go to https://wrp.gov/LoginPre.do?method=login. Managers may contact their servicing Human Resources Specialist or the USGS Equal Opportunity Office at 703-648-7763 for more information.
