USGS Program Book

The Program Book, is intended as a programmatic overview and reference document on the USGS. Chapters are organized by Mission Area and Program, highlighting activities carried out by the USGS across the landscape.

The Program Book includes information on how each USGS Mission Area serves the public; USGS partners; reimbursable activities; where the work takes place; and how USGS work aligns with the U.S. Department of Interior’s 2018-2022 Strategic Plan. The document will be updated every four years in parallel with Interior’s Strategic Plan, or when major organization restructures are put into place.
