Description Low shrubs including sagebrush, four-wing saltbush, and rabbitbrush, show signs of grazing in their spherical, trimmed form. Woody debris show that juniper and sagebrush have experienced significant, recent dieback.

Description Holly Castle is brightly lit amongst a thick forest of juniper. Young juniper have spread throughout the scene since 1942. Thick, mature communities of biological soil crust throughout the area shows that this area has not seen sheep or cattle in many years.
