CMHRP Lidar Coordinator/NGP Associate National Map Liaison invited as Keynote Speaker at the 2019 South Florida GIS Expo

Xan Fredericks, Lidar Coordinator for the Coastal-Marine Hazards and Resources Program and Associate National Map Liaison to Florida, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands for the National Geospatial Program (NGP), has been invited by the Palm Beach Countywide GIS Forum to be the Keynote Speaker for the 2019 South Florida GIS Expo.

The keynote is titled “From Citizens to Scientists: How the USGS Serves Florida Geospatially” and will showcase how the USGS collaborates and coordinates with other Federal, State, and local agencies, as well as how GIS supports the communication and dissemination of geospatial data.

The South Florida GIS Expo is an annual conference sponsored by the Palm Beach Countywide GIS Forum. The South Florida GIS Expo provides a venue for collaboration, Geographic Information System coordination, networking, education and training to the rapidly expanding professional GIS Community in the South Florida Region. To find out more about the conference, see the expo website
