Mapping Challenge Update (10/21/19): Schools in Wayne Co, MI
It's always exciting to see our volunteers chipping away at each challenge! This challenge is close to being finished, but not quite yet.
Many of the unedited red points that are outstanding have ALL CAPS in their attribute fields, indicating that they were probably part of our original data load (i.e., circa 2011) and have never been edited. For these schools, try and find a website confirming the school is in operation. If you cannot find a school website, conduct a web search for the school's name and the term "closed." Search results will frequently include news articles announcing the school's closure.

You can install and RSS reader browser extension, software, or use a third-party service to receive immediate news updates depending on the feed that you have added. If you click the feed links below, they may look strange because they are simply XML code. An RSS reader can easily read this code and push out a notification to you when something new is posted to our site.
