Tara Bell invited to Participate in Making USGS Data FAIR Workshop

September 20, 2019

FAIR – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable

Tara Bell (GLSC, Ann Arbor, Michigan) participated in the Community for Data Integration (CDI)-funded "Making USGS Data FAIR Workshop," held at the Powell Center in Fort Collins, Colorado, September 9-11, 2019. FAIR – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable – is an international set of principles that describes data, other digital products, and methods to promote data discovery and re-use. Workshop participants discussed the current status of FAIR in USGS and developed a roadmap to guide FAIR implementation. Adopting FAIR principles will enable future data integration efforts and create a more robust data management system for the USGS.
