Weather Channel Tsunami Show features SAFRR scientist
SAFRR Disaster Scientist Sue Perry was one of the featured experts on the tsunami episode of the Weather Channel series, "So You Think You'd Survive?" Sue talked about tsunamis and tsunami safety for one episode of the 8 hour series on hazards. The hazards span geologic and weather events and include earthquakes, tsunamis, avalanches, and hurricanes. Interview topics included tsunami causes and classifications, how to recognize natural warnings, what to do when a tsunami approaches, and common misperceptions about tsunamis. Perry also provided USGS tsunami products as candidate visuals.
