Peak-flow frequency analysis for two selected streamgages in the Fourmile Creek Basin in central Iowa, based on data through water year 2018

This data release presents peak-flow frequency analyses by the U.S. Geological Survey that were based on methods described by Eash and others (2013) for streamgages 05485605 Fourmile Creek near Ankeny, Iowa, and 05485640 Fourmile Creek at Des Moines, Iowa. These methods are used to provide estimates of peak-flow quantiles for 50-, 20-, 10-, 4-, 2-, 1-, 0.5-, and 0.2-percent annual exceedance proba

Peak-flow frequency analysis for three selected streamgages in the Cedar and Little Sioux River Basins, Iowa, based on data through water year 2019

This data release presents a peak-flow frequency analysis by the U.S. Geological Survey that was based on methods described by Eash and others (2013) for streamgages 05458300 Cedar River at Waverly, Iowa; 05458500 Cedar River at Janesville, Iowa; and 06606600 Little Sioux River at Correctionville, Iowa. These methods are used to provide estimates of peak-flow quantiles for 50-, 20-, 10-, 4-, 2-, 1

Watershed Data Management (WDM) Database (SC19.WDM) for Salt Creek Streamflow Simulation, DuPage County, Illinois, January 1, 1997, through September 30, 2019

This data release is the update of the U.S. Geological Survey - ScienceBase data release Bera (2020b), with the processed data for the period October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019. This data release describes the watershed data management (WDM) database SC19.WDM. The precipitation data are collected from a tipping-bucket rain-gage network and the hydrologic data (stage and discharge) are col

Watershed Data Management (WDM) Database (WBDR19.WDM) for West Branch DuPage River Streamflow Simulation, DuPage County, Illinois, January 1, 2007, through September 30, 2019

This data release is the update of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) - ScienceBase data release Bera (2020b), with the processed data for the period October 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019. This data release describes the watershed data management (WDM) database file WBDR19.WDM. The WDM database file WBDR18.WDM (Bera, 2020b) is updated with the quality-assured and quality-controlled meteorolog

Data to Incorporate Water Quality Analysis into Navigation Assessments as Demonstrated in the Mississippi River Basin

This data release includes estimates of annual and monthly mean concentrations and fluxes for nitrate plus nitrite, orthophosphate and suspended sediment for nine sites in the Mississippi River Basin (MRB) produced using the Weighted Regressions on Time, Discharge, and Season (WRTDS) model (Hirsch and De Cicco, 2015). It also includes a model archive (R scripts and readMe file) used to retrieve an

Modeled and observed streamflow statistics at managed basins in the conterminous U.S. from October 1, 1983 through September 30, 2016.

This data release contains values of 29 streamflow statistics computed from modeled and observed daily streamflows from October 1, 1983, through September 30, 2016 at 1,257 streamgages in the 19 study regions defined by Falcone (2011) covering the conterminous United States. The streamflow statistics were computed at GAGES-II non-reference streamgages (Falcone, 2011), determined to be affected by

Statistical daily streamflow estimates at GAGES-II non-reference streamgages in the conterminous United States, Water Years 1981-2017

This data release contains daily time series estimates of natural streamflow at 5,439 GAGES-II non-reference streamgages in 19 study regions across the conterminous United States from October 1, 1980 through September 30, 2017, using five statistical techniques: nearest-neighbor drainage area ratio (NNDAR), map-correlation drainage area ratio (MCDAR), nearest-neighbor nonlinear spatial interpolati

Modeled and observed streamflow statistics at reference basins in the conterminous United States from October 1, 1983, through September 30, 2016

This data release contains 29 streamflow statistics computed from modeled and observed daily streamflows from October 1, 1983, through September 30, 2016 at 1,114 streamgages in 19 study regions covering the conterminous United States. The streamflow statistics were computed at selected GAGES-II reference streamgages (Falcone, 2011) from daily streamflow observations (Russell and others, 2020), fr

PeakFQ software input files and selected output files for selected long-term streamgages near Jefferson County, Missouri, through water year 2019

Contents include U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) flood-frequency analysis software PeakFQ input files (.psf specification file and peak-flow data file) and output files (.prt file of flood-frequency results) for selected streamgaging stations near Jefferson County, Missouri. Ten stations are included with flood-frequency results updated from Southard and Veilleux (2014) and peak-flow record through

Laboratory results for anthropogenic bioactive chemicals in the Illinois Waterway upstream and downstream of the bigheaded carp population front (2015; ver. 2.0, March 2020)

Two non-native bigheaded carp species have invaded the Illinois River system and are a potential threat to the Great Lakes ecosystem. Discharges from industry, wastewater treatment plants, and urban and agricultural runoff, may be a factor contributing to the stalling of the upstream movement of the bigheaded carp population front near Illinois Waterway mile 278. In 2015, the U.S. Geological Surve
