Science Center Objects

Collection of licensed commercial WorldView-2 imagery available to government agencies only.

Back to Commercial Data Purchases (CDP) Imagery

The Commercial Data Purchases (CDP) Imagery Collection contains WorldView-2 imagery and is archived at the USGS Earth Resources Observation & Science Center (EROS). The CDP supports the Commercial Remote Sensing Space Policy (CRSSP) by providing data to qualified Federal users at no cost. See U.S. Federal User Certification form (.pdf).

Commercial vendor licensing may restrict access to imagery, and license restrictions may vary for each individual image. However, users have the option to request license upgrades for imagery not currently licensed for their Federal agency.  Any use of trade, firm, or product names is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.

DigitalGlobe’s WorldView-2 satellite was launched in October 2009 and acquires 8-band multispectral imagery at 1.85-meter resolution and panchromatic imagery at 46-centimeter  resolution. Average revisit time is 1.1 days. WorldView-2 provides highly detailed imagery for precise mapping, change detection, and in-depth image analysis. See WorldView-2 for more details.
