Due to a lapse in appropriations, the majority of USGS websites may not be up to date and may not reflect current conditions. Websites displaying real-time data, such as Earthquake and Water and information needed for public health and safety will be updated with limited support. Additionally, USGS will not be able to respond to inquiries until appropriations are enacted. For more information, please see www.doi.gov/shutdown
Lower Mississippi Gulf Water Science Center
About Our Center
Comprised of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee we are a diverse region with an abundance of water resources. The coalescence of our five states has allowed us the unique opportunity to reach across state boundaries and work together as one united entity. In the LMG we strive to provide our cooperators as well as the public with reliable, timely and accurate information.
Water information, data and hydrologic publications from the Lower Mississippi-Gulf Water Science Center are available to the public. There may be a charge for some requests, depending on the type, size, and urgency of the request. Information for the topics listed below can also be found on the NWISWeb site.
