Chesapeake Bay

The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the United States supporting numerous economic, recreational, and biological resources.  Restoration and protection of this unique ecosystem is priority for numerous Federal and state agencies.  Researchers at the Leetown Science Center provide critical scientific information to improve the understanding and management of the Bay resources by focusing on key research areas such as land and climate change; water quality; fish, wildlife, and habitats; and decision support.
