Risk Assessment

Ecological risk assessment studies focus on determining the “cause” and likelihood of effects of a stressor on associated ecosystems.  Stressors can result from human actions, such as urban development, or natural phenomena, such as droughts and floods.  Researchers at the Leetown Science Center are conducting ecological risk assessments on a variety of stressors across a range of ecosystems.
