USGS Groundwater Data for New Jersey

The Ground-Water database contains ground-water site inventory, ground-water level data, and water-quality data. Additional ground-water information for New Jersey is available at the New Jersey Water Science Center web page. This page includes geologic maps, a description of the aquifers in New Jersey, and references to selected ground-water reports.

USGS Water-Quality Data for New Jersey

At selected surface-water and ground-water sites, the USGS maintains instruments that continuously record physical and chemical characteristics of the water including pH, specific conductance, temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and percent dissolved-oxygen saturation. At sites where this information is transmitted automatically, data are available from the real-time data system.

Estimated low-flow statistics at ungaged stream locations in New Jersey, water year 2017

Estimates of various low-flow statistics were computed at 71 ungaged stream locations throughout New Jersey during the 2017 water year using methods in the published reports, Streamflow Characteristics and Trends in New Jersey, Water Years 1897-2003 (U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report 2005-5105) and Implementation of MOVE.1, Censored MOVE.1, and Piecewise MOVE.1 L

Surface-Water Quality Summary

The purpose of this report is to summarize selected ambient surface-water-quality data collected cooperatively by the USGS and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). Data on the physical characteristics and (or) water-quality constituents in samples collected at surface-water and bed-sediment stations are presented in figures and tables.

Raw ground-penetrating radar data, Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, New Jersey, 2014-15

This dataset contains 10 raw common-offset ground-penetrating radar (GPR) profiles collected at 7 locations in the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, Atlantic County and Ocean County, New Jersey, in October and November 2014 and January 2015. A MALA® 80 megahertz (MHz) HDR shielded antenna was used for 3 profiles named DinnerPointAve, GameFarmRd-1, and GameFarmRd-2

Current-use pesticides and emerging amphibian pathogens in natural ponds, excavated ponds, and stormwater basins from 24 sites varying in land-use classifications throughout the New Jersey Pinelands, 2014-2016

Water, sediment, anuran food (leaf litter and detritus) and whole body larval amphibian composites were analyzed for over 100 current-use pesticides from 24 wetlands representing land-use gradients in the New Jersey Pinelands, USA during 2014-2016. Emerging amphibian pathogens, Ranavirus and Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) were also assessed in individual larvae at the 24 wet
