Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center
About
The Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center (PIERC) is one of 18 ecological research centers in the Ecosystems Mission Area of the USGS. PIERC scientists strive to address current and future conservation issues across the Pacific Islands. Research at PIERC is as diverse as the ecosystems we study and includes global climate change, invasive species management, and restoration of degraded land.
Aloha, and welcome to the Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center (PIERC). As a USGS research center, PIERC serves the needs of resource managers to tackle current and emerging critical conservation issues.
