Quantifying the hydrologic impacts of climate and land-cover change is critical for understanding future freshwater availability. To assess the impacts of climate and land-cover change on future water resources, the USGS Pacific Islands Water Science Center estimates groundwater recharge using projected climate conditions and land-cover scenarios.
