Groundwater and Surface-Water Interaction

The USGS Pacific Islands Water Science Center conducts assessments of groundwater and surface-water interaction in the State of Hawaiʻi and the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands. These assessments typically involve measurements of discharge made at several locations along a stream to identify where streams gain and lose water.
