Due to a lapse in appropriations, the majority of USGS websites may not be up to date and may not reflect current conditions. Websites displaying real-time data, such as Earthquake and Water and information needed for public health and safety will be updated with limited support. Additionally, USGS will not be able to respond to inquiries until appropriations are enacted. For more information, please see www.doi.gov/shutdown
How do I get lidar delivered on media?
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provide an import/export capability that allows data residing in Amazon to be transferred to physical storage devices for a fee.
If you want to send your own hard drive to Amazon and you need 16 TB or less transferred, the Import/Export Disk option is recommended by Amazon. Pricing can be viewed at https://aws.amazon.com/snowball/disk/pricing/.
For larger than 16 TB data transfers Amazon recommends using a Snowball Appliance. These appliances come with either 50 TB or 80 TB of storage space. Pricing can be viewed at https://aws.amazon.com/snowball/pricing/.
