The Fischione Ultrasonic Drill is used to cut out small pieces from a thin section or thin rock slabs. When you have a limited amount of time and limited amount of space per sample mount, this is what you need to cut out just the right area of the sample you want to analyze. The drill bit sizes are 3 mm, 4 mm, and 8 mm diameter circles, a 4 mm x 5 mm rectangle, and a 4 mm x 4mm square.
