Detailed Description
Decision making by Midwest Region National Park Service units regarding their bison herds currently focuses strongly on this single species. Broadening this focus to include vegetation, ecosystem processes, and tribal relations is an impetus for developing a Bison Stewardship Strategy for NPS units in the region.
