Kīlauea Lower East Rift Zone

As of 6AM HST on July 30, the fissure 8 lava flow was moving in an open channel all the way to the central coastal flow field southeast of Kapoho Cone, where it crusted over and fed numerous active tongues entering sea along a broad (>1 km) flow front at shore, centered in Ahalanui area.
