Kīlauea Volcano's summit eruption 8 p.m. HST Dec. 22

An 8 p.m. HST update from USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory crews monitoring the ongoing eruption at Kīlauea Volcano's summit indicated that the lava lake continues to deepen as the two fissures in Halema‘uma‘u crater wall continue to erupt.
