Detailed Description
Low lava fountain from Pu‘u ‘Ō‘ō during eruptive episode 8, five months after the eruption began. Lava is spreading from the breach in the northeast rim of the crater, which produced an ‘A‘ā flow that extended for more than 4 km (2.5 miles) from Pu‘u ‘Ō‘ō.
