Reflectance as a function of organic carbon

There is a general association between organic carbon content, especially in SASP samples, and reflectance whereby total reflectance decreases as organic carbon content increases. The SASP WY11 reflectance value may be related to certain forms of carbonaceous matter, as suggested by the high abundance of organic carbon (~5.5 %).
