Stephen at work
Detailed Description
During a survey along the Norwalk river, in Connecticut, GPS control points needed to be set along the river bank. One bank had a concrete wall decorated in elaborate street art, and while I (Stephen Banulski) was setting control alongside Caroline Mazo, Salvador Amador, another USGS employee captured the scene with his camera. The scene shows that my work can be very involved, and that my work often takes me to some memorable sites. It also shows that while work can be difficult there are many fun aspects to the job, and that I get genuine enjoyment from working for the USGS.
