Zion National Park

The Watchman is a great stone mesa of Navajo Sandstone near the South Entrance to the park. In the foreground, a cottonwood grove provides shade for the Watchman Campground. Talus and soil cover lower slopes and mostly mask the red shale outcropping of the Kayenta Formation along the lower slopes.
