The USGS California Water Science Center operates a specialized research team at our offices in Placer Hall on the California State University, Sacramento campus. Our mission is the collection and analysis of water quality data using innovative and novel methods.
We are looking for the right candidate to help with design, construction and deployment of advanced data collection systems. The work is engaging and exciting with lots of opportunities for fieldwork and hands on experience. The right candidate would be energetic and motivated to be part of a high functioning team.
Preferred Skills or Experience
The duties and schedule may be tailored to fit the candidate’s qualifications and availability. Current students or recent grads in geology, chemistry, biology, engineering, or other STEM fields who have shown an interest in water resources or environmental science would be very competitive applicants.
