The National Map Data Download and Visualization Access

The National Map, managed by the USGS National Geospatial Program (NGP), provides free visualization, inspection, and download access to our most current US Topo and Historical Topographic Map products as well as GIS data for our primary data themes including: Elevation, Orthoimagery, Hydrography, Geographic Names, Boundaries, Transportation, Structures, and Land Cover.

Great Lakes, Ohio, Upper Mississippi, Red River Basins (MRB3) SPARROW Mapper, 2002

This mapper displays SPARROW nutrient load and yield data and the importance of various nutrient sources for the MRB3, given nutrient inputs similar to 2002. Rankings can be shown by major watershed, state, HUC8, tributary, and catchment. Nutrient data can be explored using maps and interactive graphs and tables. Modeling results can be exported as an Excel spreadsheet or a geospatial dataset.

Great Lakes SPARROW Mapper, 2002

This mapper displays SPARROW nutrient load and yield data specifically for U.S. tributaries to the Great Lakes. The results are based on the SPARROW models developed for the Great Lakes, Ohio, Upper Mississippi, Red River Basins (MRB3). Modeling results can be exported as an Excel spreadsheet or a geospatial dataset.

SPARROW Decision Support System (discontinued)

The SPARROW Decision Support System displays model predictions of water-quality conditions and sources by stream reach and catchment, tracks the transport to downstream receiving waters, and can be used to evaluate management source-reduction scenarios. Models currently available include national nitrogen, phosphorus, and suspended sediment models as well as regional nutrient models.

Bad River Groundwater Model Mapper

The Bad River Groundwater Model Mapper accompanies the report "Groundwater-Surface Water Interactions in the Bad River Watershed, Wisconsin". The mapper displays model inputs such as aquifer recharge and hydraulic conductivity; outputs including water-table elevations, groundwater-flow directions, and stream baseflows; and the results of an analysis evaluating potential monitoring well location.

Colorado Flood Database and Interactive Map

Data on 6,767 flood events at 1,597 individual sites throughout Colorado were compiled to generate the flood database. The data sources of flood information are indirect discharge measurements that were stored in U.S. Geological Survey offices (water years 1867–2011), flood data from indirect discharge measurements referenced in U.S. Geological Survey reports.
