Provides access to more than 100,000 geologic maps and other types of geoscience reports and data published from the early 1800s to the present day, by the USGS, the State Geological Surveys, and hundreds of other organizations.

USMIN Mineral Deposit Database: Prospect and Mine-Related Features

Symbols indicating mining-related features digitized from historical USGS topographic maps in the western part of the conterminous US. Includes prospect pits, mine shafts and adits, quarries, open-pit mines, tailings piles and ponds, gravel and borrow pits, and other features. Water-Quality Changes in the Nation's Streams and Rivers

The trends mapper provides results from the largest-ever assessment of water-quality changes in the Nation's streams and rivers. More than 185 million water-quality records from over 600 Federal, State, Tribal, and local organizations were screened as part of this assessment.

The mapper shows stream trends in water chemistry and aquatic ecology for four time periods from 1972-2012.

Predicted Shorelines for High Flows on the Colorado River Application

This application highlights modeled flows of the Colorado River for a discharge of 41,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) that is approximate to recent (2012 - 2018) and future anticipated water releases associated with a High Flow Experiments conducted from Glen Canyon Dam near Page, Arizona.  These data are to help visualize the water levels during High Flow Events in relation to other map layers.

National Coal Resources Data System (NCRDS) Database Query

Query, browse, and download descriptive stratigraphic data associated with numerous locations throughout the United States.

Sandbar Monitoring Sites - Remote Camera Photographs Application

GCMRC and Northern Arizona University have engaged in long-term monitoring of 45 sandbar sites along the Colorado River in Grand Canyon for close to three decades.  Remote cameras have been established to monitor sandbar changes in between site surveys that occur every Fall.   This application provides access to thousands of photos, with an option to view photos around specific high flow events.

NY WSC Go2 Mapper

Interactive web mapping application used to display Go2 warning messages and field personnel locations. The Go2 system is used by USGS staff to monitor the maintenance of USGS gages.

National Petroleum Reserve, Alaska, (NPRA) Legacy Seismic Data Archive

The National Petroleum Reserve, Alaska, (NPRA) Legacy Data Archive represents one of the largest geological and geophysical data sets held by the U.S. Geological Survey.  Two exploration programs by the U.S. Navy and USGS collected over 12,000 line miles of seismic data and drilled 28 wells.  These programs generated a vast amount of data, analyses, and documents, much of which is presented here.
