Power Lines

Power lines may have direct and indirect effects on wildlife survival, reproduction, and movement. Flying birds may collide with power lines, and terrestrial birds may avoid using habitat near power lines. Indirect effects are due to alteration and fragmentation of the landscape, attraction of new species including predators, and other factors which are not yet well understood.
