USGS scientists conduct a wide variety of research on freshwater, coastal and marine habitats, and on the species of management concern that utilize those habitats. Our researchers are engaged in science and restoration activities across the Gulf, including Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act and Deepwater Horizon programs (i.e., RESTORE, NRDAR, and NFWF) among other efforts.
