Aaron J Heldmyer

Aaron began his career at the USGS WY-MT WSC in February 2020 as a student Pathways intern physical scientist while completing his graduate studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. Aaron is currently working on analysis of model-estimated evapotranspiration.

Prior to employment with the USGS, Aaron has been involved in various hydrologic modeling projects, such as estimating post-fire suspended sediment loading in a disturbed CO watershed, high-resolution physically-based snowpack modeling in two headwaters regions in CO and MT, development of an observationally-based statistical snowpack model for the U.S. West and AK using remotely sensed and in situ gage data, and updating the National Water Model with new hydraulic geometry data.
