Bradley Reed, Ph. D.

Biography

Bradley Reed is Associate Program Coordinator in the U.S. Geological Survey’s Geographic Analysis and Monitoring Program.  Dr. Reed received his Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Kansas in 1990 and has since been involved in a number of research endeavours, including global land cover mapping, characterizing phenology from Earth Observation data, and assessing biological carbon sequestration for the United States.  He worked at the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science Center for several years and is now at USGS Headquarters in Reston, VA.  He recently completed a two-year assignment in Geneva, Switzerland as the U.S. representative to the Group on Earth Observations (GEO), where he supported work in the Ecosystems and Biodiversity Societal Benefit Areas.
