Brian S Painter
(He/Him)Brian Painter is a Hydrologic Technician and Web Content Manager working with the U.S. Geologic Survey’s New Jersey Water Science Center since 2003. He began with Surface Water data collection, adding Web Content Management in 2006, and has recently expanded into Groundwater level collection and some Water Quality work.
Brian came into Federal Service to study flow and flood events in the Surface Water Data Collection Unit of the New Jersey Water Science Center.
In 2006, He was given an opportunity to utilize his skills in computer sciences, taking the mantle of Web Master and maintained the NJWSC web presence. This gave way to the becoming Web Content Manager as the USGS evolved into a unified Web presence.
With the transformation of the web presence, a need arose for for a communications unit in the New Jersey WSC; Brian moved into the position of the Co-Chair of the Office Communications Committee, collecting the Web, Social Media, and Communications groups into one committee.
